This tutorial covers how to translate descriptions of chemical reactions into word equations and then onto balanced symbol equations. It is at the junior high school level and works through balancing equations step by step.

The course includes a video tutorial (about 15 minutes long) as well as a worksheets to practice writing word and symbol equations as well as balancing them. It also includes separate documents with the answers for each practice worksheet outlined in full.
