Payments & Refunds

When do I receive payment?

We pay out to our coaches on the 8th of every month or any day after the 8th that falls on a Monday in Australia.

Why do you make payments monthly?

We send payments monthly in order to take advantage of payment features offered by Paypal. This reduces our costs and lowers your fees!

Can I receive my earnings early?

Unfortunately we are unable to process your earnings before the 8th of any given month or any day after the 8th that falls on a Monday in Australia.

Course Management

Are there restrictions on what I can teach through your site?

We make virtually no restrictions as on what you are able to teach through our site. We will from time to time ban accounts or remove content that is seen to be perpetuating illegal activity or distributing material that may constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or violate laws. How do I create a course?

In order to create a course you must first be registered as an eCoach. To do this click on the ‘become an eCoach’ link at the top of the page and follow the prompts. Once your account has been upgraded and you’ve finished setting up your profile, click on the ‘dashboard’ button at the top of the page. From there you are able to scroll to the bottom of the page to the ‘create new course’ button. Once you’re happy with how your course is looking don’t forget to click the ‘publish’ button! Your course will remain unsearchable until you click this button!

How do I host a live session and what will I need?

You are able to host a live session over any 3rd party software. Keep in mind that both you and your student will need to use the same software so we recommend using something common such as Skype.

We also recommend that our coaches record their sessions in order to protect themselves in the case of a dispute. For more information of this please read our terms & conditions. We recommend that you do your own research to find the best software at the best price to suit your purpose.

How do I create a video series and what will I need?

This will depend on what your content is. You may need a camera to record yourself or real life activities, or you may simply require screen capturing software with a microphone. Either way you will need video editing software. There are plenty of different products available online today, some of which are free. It will be up to you to do your own research to find the best product at the best price that suits your purpose.

In order to package your video series into one item for sale you will need to compress your series into a Zip file. To do this simply select which videos you want included and right click on one. You will be able to find the Zip file option under the ‘Send To’ option. Once you’ve followed the prompts and have the Zip file simply upload it to your course by clicking the ‘Add New Resource’ button in your manage course page (found in your dashboard). Alternatively you can upload each individual video onto your course page and sell them separately.

How much can I charge per file?

We allow our users to charge between USD$5 and USD$500 per file.

How much can I charge per session?

We allow our users to charge USD$0 or between USD$5 and USD$500 per session.

Why can’t I find my course when I search?

If you are unable to find your course when you search then you may have forgotten to click the ‘Publish’ button in your course editing options. This button exists so that you are able to create or make changes to your new or existing course without anyone being able to find it before you’ve completed the task. To go back and find the publish button go to your dashboard and then click the ‘manage’ button on the course in question. You will find the button on the top left. Once you’ve published your course you will receive a confirmation message.

What can I learn through your site?

You can learn whatever our coaches make available to learn!

A coach hasn’t accepted my booking, what now?

Coaches must accept booked sessions within 72 hours of the booking being made or before the session is due to take place. If the coach has not accepted the booking either before the 72 hours is up or before the session is due to take place then the booking will be cancelled and the student will be notified.

If you have made a booking and the coach has yet to accept it, we advise you to contact the coach for further information or simply wait for the 72 hour window to elapse. If you require coaching immediately or within a short time period we recommend that you contact multiple coaches to see if any are immediately available before you make a booking.

Can I distribute material that I have purchased?

Redistributing purchased material is a violation of our terms & conditions. Appropriate action will be taken against accounts found to be involved in these activities.

Account management

How do I change my password?

To change your password go to your dashboard and then your settings tab. You’ll find the ‘change password’ button at the top right hand side of the page under ‘login options’.

How do I log in?

If you do not have an account then click on the ‘signup’ button at the top of the page and follow the prompts. If you do have an account then click on the ‘login’ button at the top of the page.

How do I link my social media accounts?

To link your social media accounts go to your dashboard and then your settings tab. You’ll find the ‘add social login’ button on the right hand side of the page under ‘login options’.

How do I change my email address?

Once you’ve created your account you will be unable to change your email address.

General Questions

I already teach online, why should I join your site?

Signing up to eCoaches is fast, free and easy with no ongoing fees. By signing up with us you’ll gain access to our pool of students that we obtain through our own marketing expenses. Even if you already teach online you’re better off by taking the short amount of time it takes to create an account with us in order to increase your client base.

How do I report a user?

Every profile and course page is fitted with a report button. If you find the content that the coach is providing to be inappropriate or illegal please report the user by clicking on the respective report button fixed on the page that you find inappropriate or illegal. eCoaches staff will investigate the user and the content and take appropriate action if necessary.

Please note that eCoaches will not respond or give updates on your report. If the coach that you’ve reported has not been banned or had his content removed after he has been reported then it’s because eCoaches has not deemed his actions a violation of our terms & conditions.
